What is VET FEE-Help

VET FEE-Help is a student income contingent loan scheme for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector that is part of the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). Full details regarding VET FEE-Help can be obtained by visiting the VET fee help page at www.deewr.gov.au/vetfeehelp.

How does the VET FEE HELP loan scheme benefit me?

VET FEE-Help assists eligible, full fee-paying students to pay for all or part of their VET tuition fees when studying an accredited VET course at a VET provider. The Melbourne Rudolf Steiner Seminar Ltd is an accredited VET provider for its Advanced Diploma in Rudolf Steiner Education course (code 69801).

Over a student’s lifetime they may borrow through VET FEE-HELP and FEE-HELP, an amount up to the FEE-HELP limit to pay their tuition fees. VET FEE-HELP debts become a part of an individual’s accumulated HELP debt.

There is a loan fee of 20% that applies to full fee-paying students accessing VET Fee-HELP loans. The FEE-HELP limit does not include the loan fee. The Australian Government pays the amount of the loan direct to a student’s provider. Students are required to repay their loans through the Australian taxation system once their repayment income is above the minimum repayment threshold.

Who is eligible to apply for VET FEE-HELP?

There is no age restriction on VET FEE-HELP, however to be eligible a student must be an Australian citizen or permanent humanitarian visa holder who is resident in Australia for the duration of study.

How do I access VET FEE HELP?

Local students are now eligible to apply for the Australian Government’s FEE-HELP loan scheme for its Advanced Diploma of Rudolf Steiner Education (course code 69801).

Visit our Enrolment Information for Local Students on our website, download and fill in the Application form where you can indicate your intention to apply for VET FEE-HELP. At the enrolment interview, you will be provided with the VET FEE-HELP application form. Alternatively please call the Office and we will send one to you.

When applying for VET FEE-Help, you must submit your completed form to the Office on or before the dates (census date or administration date) as specified on the Units of Study/Tuition Fees for VET FEE HELP page of the website.
